Description
The Kan Imagery Catalog (KICa) plug-in is a QGIS extension designed to streamline access to Earth observation data. With this plug-in, QGIS users can seamlessly connect to the UP42 catalog and search for archive imagery from the world’s leading providers, all through a single touchpoint and without leaving the QGIS environment.

How to get started?
- Install the “KAN Imagery Catalog” plug-in by searching for it in the “Plugins” tab.
- Once installed, the KAN Imagery Catalog panel will appear on the side of the QGIS interface.
- Connect to UP42 by clicking the “Settings” (gear icon) at the top-right corner of the KICa panel and logging in with your UP42 credentials.
- Define your Area of Interest (AOI) by either importing an existing AOI or drawing it manually on the map.
- Set your search parameters and select the collections you are interested in.
- Available scenes will be displayed as footprints on the QGIS map.
- Sort your results by date, view additional information, and preview thumbnails.
- Jump to the UP42 platform to purchase and further process the data.
